True Pan presents a sophisticated solution for repositioning stereo recordings without compromising the integrity of the stereo field. Its design allows for lossless, fully reversible panoramic rotations that maintain the clarity of the stereo image despite transformations.

The plugin is equipped to handle a variety of applications, including:

 <li>Panning sounds rich in ambience or reverb while preserving spatial information.</li>
 <li>Adjusting field recordings by freely rotating the entire sound field to modify the perceived foreground.</li>
 <li>Shifting sonic perspectives of effects-laden, layered stereo instrument patches with ease.</li>
 <li>Exploring new dimensions of positional reverberation.</li>
 <li>Injecting subtle motion into omnidirectional sounds, which can also be utilized as a unique chorus effect at elevated rates.</li>
 <li>Adding a dynamic spatial quality to arpeggiated or rhythmic passages via tempo synchronization with various LFO types.</li>
 <li>Implementing stronger modulation for creative sound design applications, including effects such as warble, flutter, and stereo tremolo.</li>

When employed as a post-processor for reverbs, True Pan enhances temporal density and smoothness beyond what pre-panned reverb inputs typically achieve. This improvement translates to superior audio quality and instills a sense of different physical configurations between the sound source and the listener within an acoustic space, thus allowing for greater flexibility in positioning.

The plugin’s commitment to quality preservation is exemplified by its capability to revert processed audio back to its original configuration through reverse rotation techniques.

The integrated stereo spread controls are designed to minimize volume fluctuations by adapting to the actual input signal and its M/S gain distribution. This includes a fully dynamic adaptive mode as well as a snapshot-based approach.

 <li>An Audio Unit v3 compatible host application is required for using this plugin.</li>
 <li>Dual mono inputs from two microphones must be converted into a single stereo signal for processing.</li>
